About Material Energy^4 & FTB Launcher Download Link

This will be my next play-through after I've gotten bored of Etho's LP Pack.

'Nuff said ;)

Also, ME^4 has the Hardcore Questing Mode (HQM) Mod which I said was very hard to have in a screenshot lets-play, but I'll try it out ;)

Also, for anybody who wants the Launcher, download link:

Etho's LP Pack #3 - "Guess who's arrived?"

Last episode I forgot to mention that, since my shovel, pickaxe, and hatchet are made of stone, they have the Stonebound modifier. This makes them mine faster as the durability wears down.

Alright.

I went mining and got lots of things.
I also got some bread, and created an NPC Wand.

And now.......

Guess who's arrived?

Woo, Custom NPCs! This is Etho, an NPC of the Modpack's Creator. He serves as my guard. You can see his make-shift house up in the top.
And now comes the time to sort out all my junk from mining. I will create an ore-doubling? machine. However, it's tedious, and will serve me for a very small time.

First, we will make a Fancy Sign for the Applied Energistics 2 Wall.
First we make a label.

And now we can make the Fancy Sign.

Looks good, right?

Right?

Here we need to smelt three cobblestone for the Grindstone.

Next we make a Buildcraft Wooden Gear.

Next the Grindstone.

Finally, the crank.

Now this is a VERY tedious machine. Each ore takes about 8 turns of the crank to break down into two dust, and if you turn the crank to many times when all the ore's broken down, it will break. Talk about tedious. I will make a more efficient Ore Doubler ASAP!
And now......... it's time to make a Tinkers' Construct Smeltery. ;)

Next part

muahahah

Etho's LP Pack #2 - "The Early Bird Gets the Tinkers Tools"

Welcome back!

I forgot to mention last time that this pack is HIDDEN. If you want to get it in the FTB Launcher, go to the 3rd Party Packs tab, click "Private Packs", and enter the code "Etho" into the GUI.

I said this would be up around 3PM - 7PM but I lied.

Well, actually, I decided to make it early! As I like to say, "The Early Bird Gets the Worm". Well, in this case, "The Early Bird Gets the Tinkers Tools", since this episode is all about:

Reusing images for the win!

Anyways, ON WITH THE GAMEPLAY!

As you can see I have added a Fancy Sign from BiblioCraft into my Tinkers area so I know it's the Tinkers area. Just decoration. I will cover the recipe next time I use one.
And now it's time to make some cool Tinkers tools!
But first, I've expanded my base a bit.

My bed's down that Carpenter's Hatch. Recipe same as a Trapdoor, but with Carpenter's Blocks.
Here we have a miniature Storage Room. Nothing special at the moment, since I really don't have much to work with. Not to mention I haven't been mining yet :S
Anyways, TINKERS' CONSTRUCT! (Yeah, I made a mistake, it's Tinkers', not Tinker's.)
I want to make a Longsword, a Pickaxe, a Hatchet, and a Shovel. Since I don't have access to a Smeltery (or iron) yet, I'll make them out of Stone.

First, open up the Stencil Table, and place a blank pattern in smaller square. Next, choose one of the icons on the right or left, click them, then take your new pattern out.

Step 1 Complete!
Next, open up the Part Builder, and place any non-blank pattern in either of the two left slots. Then get your material and place it in the slot next to whatever pattern you're using. Take whatever comes out of the 4 squares on the far right.
Finally, you will need to click on one of the tool icons on the far left, and then place the preferred parts in the correct slots. If done correctly, you should have some awesome new Tinkers Tools!

Here's my newly upgraded Tinkers' Construct wall! The chest at the very top is for spare parts, and the things holding the books are "Drying Racks" from, well, Tinkers' Construct.
You can also see my new Original_Tools in my hotbar :)

Here's the recipe for the drying racks.
And that marks the end of this part! Next one coming probably around 5:30PM or earlier :)

EthosLab Pack #1 - "Original_Team"

WELCOME TO MY PLAYTHROUGH OF A PACK THAT FINALLY GIVES ME OVER 21 FPS:

ETHOSLAB'S PACK!

WOOOHOOOO!

Alright then! Playthrough time!

I don't know why it's Melons but I like it

And apparently this is my Space Race. That flag is beautiful, isn't it? I would have taken the time to make a proper one, but screw it.
Wow, I've found a rare biome ALREADY? :D

Ok, now for a hotbar key.
Slot 1 = World Domination with OpenBlocks (OpenBlocks)
Slot 2 = Materials & You (Tinker's Contruct)
Slot 3 = Basic Materials & Processing (Mariculture)
Slot 4 = RotaryCraft Handbook (RotaryCraft)
Slot 5 = Food Journal (Spice of Life)
Slot 6 = Wool (obviously Vanilla Minecraft)
Alright!
Inside that lovely looking Carpenter's Door is my house. I will explain the mod Carpenter's Blocks in the morning.

Which won't be long, since I have a bed!
So, first, for the sake of ease, I'm going to craft a Crafting Station from Tinker's Construct. These allow you to exit the bench without any items falling out. These can be crafted by themselves to make a slab version, which I have in my base.

This is how you craft a Carpenter's Block.

Here I have a Carpenter's Block and a Carpenter's Door next to eachother. The Door has the same recipe as a normal Door, but the wood is replaced by Carpenter's Blocks.

As you can see, you can place blocks on the Carpenter's... well... anything! This is still a Carpenter's Block, it just looks like a piece of Cobblestone because I placed a block of Cobblestone on it.

Here we have a door where the top has Cobblestone on it and the bottom has a Furnace. I must say, it doesn't look all that bad!
As you can see I have kept the Furnace & Cobblestone design and replaced my functional furnace with a Slab Furnace from Tinker's Construct. Also, a tip: Cobblestone Slabs can be used to add the Cobblestone texture to a Carpenter's Door. Not sure about other Carpenter's things yet.
Now I have replaced by normal bed with a Carpenter's Bed. Same recipe as a normal bed, but the wood is replaced with Carpenter's Blocks.
Well I guess it's time to work on some highly functional Tinker's Construct stuff :3

Say hello to your new best friend...
the Blank Pattern! It is used in nearly everything to do with TC!
And here are the first few TC blocks that you'll need to make. It doesn't matter where on the crafting grid the items are, as long as the Blank Pattern is above the block.
And next time, I will do some functional stuff with Tinker's Construct!

Next part later today, around 3PM - 7PMish

Blast Off (Discontinued) Part 0 - This is what the first blast off part was going to look like, but I realised that it's near impossible to do a HQM Screenshot Lets Play

Welcome to the replacement to the Original_Wolf20 series, Original_Blas-ok I'll stop with that.

BLAST OFF!

ok

Let's start!

But first, an ad from our sponsors - www.FaKeSoLuTiOnS.xo.ns/ViRuSmAcHiNe

If not, I hope my fist meets your face some day.

Anyways, I could barely run it on my box of stone so I'll be playing a different pack that I've never heard of.

If my bag of sand can run it, of course.

Wait, I've tested this, I don't get bad FPS on it, definitely not under 25, so it's good. I think.

I will be doing..........

EthosLab's Pack! :D

Also, I get 30+ frames on this... yeah, I'm good :)
